Find out a bit about Peltzer Winery

Peltzer farm and winery happens to be vast land (25 acres) of vineyards and homestead. It is located in Temecula Valley on the wine country path of the Calle Contento. Out of the many things it has to offer, the industrial-chic winery is something else. It has a vintage feel to it; all thanks to the vintage finds and recycled materials that are used as decorations all around the winery. There is a lot more to Peltzer winery. To find out, do read on.

The Vineyard

Temecula Valley is all about bright sunny days and cool evenings. The Peltzer winery takes advantage of this weather. The Peltzer family cellar focuses on the warm weather to make the wine as tasty as possible. The vineyard is all about Mediterranean style grape varietals. In the year 2010, Charlie, the co-owner of this place, planted 3 well-suited grape varietals.

These include the thick skinned Petite Sirah (French grape) and Italy's beautiful Barbera and Sangiovese. These grape varietals produce great wine for which the place is well-loved. The place ensures that most preeminent farming practices are followed. For this reason, grapes are left on the vine to ripen. This proves the point that quality is their priority and not quantity. There small collection has earned the wine to be called boutique-style wine.

The Winery
Out of all the things Peltzer winery has to offer, the Crush House is something that needs to be witnessed. It is beautifully decorated and has a vintage feel to the whole place. It is definitely an Instagram worthy place. The decoration is done by Carrie, one of the co-owners of this winery. But it also has a hint of Charlie's farming roots.

After five generations of farmers, Carrie and Charlie are continuing the journey. They want to build their own dream winery in Southern California Wine Country. This passion is seen in the Peltzer family cellar and the Crush House. The Crush House hosts wine tasting events and you can find wine bottles and glasses to purchase here. You can take in the beauty of this place by grabbing a seat on the porch and indulge in some great wines.

The Wine
There are great red and white wines produced in the Peltzer winery. From the limited 2016 Aged Bourbon Barrel Zinfandel (tasting notes: cinnamon stick, ripe cranberry, caramelized sugar and maple) to the 2020 Syrah Rosé (tasting notes: hibiscus, red plum, strawberry and rose petal), the options are many. They go up and beyond for their wine. The Prosecco (tasting notes: crisp green apple, honey and sweet citrus) is imported from a region in Italy which lies between the Alps and Venice. Their wines are truly work of art.
